I am setting this forum topic up so people can discuss plans to see other parts of Japan such as Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, or anywhere even stay longer in Saporro!

So hopefully people can use this forum to communicate with other trippers and organize their plans!

This can also be used to discuss getting airfare for Japan.

Hiya, Victoria and I plan an "in and out" trip with 1-2 nights in Sapporo or Tokyo (just to say that we've seen it).
Outbound from Frankfurt or Zurich on 5th Feb and returning between 13-16th Feb.
Woud be flexible on dates for a group ticket though.

I'm sure Jonathan is already onto this but would also like to do one day with an off-piste guide in the area (preferably Monday or Tuesday to learn where the stashes are) and at least one day backcountry guided. Jerome pack your touring skis!
Jonathan we are in if you are coordinating some guided stuff or are also happy to organise it for you if you are busy with everything else ;-)

Yeee haaa it's going to be a snowy winter!
Hugs from Zurich
Victoria and Bernie

Here is some information that I have unearthed while looking into our Niseko arrangements:

http://www.kuronekoyamato.co.jp/english ... rport.html
This baggage delivery company has a desk at the Hilton and will transport your skis/ bags of ski gear to Sapporo Chitose or Tokyo Narita airports for a very reasonable price.

The friendly local hotel we are staying at in Tokyo, in the party Shinjuku area.

"Off-piste guided day" or "Back country bowls guided tour" with Black Diamond. We can get a group rate of €75-85 for the day. I will be arranging guided skiing on Tuesday (and probably one other day) for those who are interested. Please email me at [mail address withheld - contact using email button below] to coordinate.

It's snowing today in Davos and the weekend is almost here!!

Just a few tips and tricks:
- Videos can be easily downloaded from YouTube. There are plenty of browser extension or apps enabling it like for the movie 'Home' by Yann Arthus-Bertrand (first time I did it)
- All videos and photos are unlisted, accessible only to those with the link so be careful where you post such link
- Feel free to download and upload for private use. For other use such as commercial (brochure, etc), kindly request their use; I'll forward it to whomever is concerned: GG, Rainer, Frederik, me, etc
- Carpe Diem
