It's been some time since the ski club has visited this excellent historic ski region. On one side lie the resorts of Grindelwald and Wengen. They say the Mönch mountain protects the Jungfrau from the Eiger. On the other side we find the Schiltorn above Mürrhen, where the Brits in the shape of Sir Edmund Lunn invented ski racing. Our simple hotel the Oberland in Lauterbrünnen is perfectly poised between these areas - a short walk to the cog trains to take you to the glorious slopes the region offers.
During the current coronavirus pandemic the club will have to react appropriately to changes in regulations and conditions. Cancellation procedures are being looked at if the destination is deemed to be in a risk area at the time of trip departure.
