Located in northwestern Nagano Prefecture at the base of the 3000m high Northern Japan Alps, Hakuba Valley boasts 10 Resorts blessed with abundant snow fall and high quality powder snow. Host of the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, it is an international ski area with world class facilities.
From gentle groomed runs to 8km long cruising pists, Hakuba has something for everybody. The freeriding is legendary in Hakuba's powder; a guide is essential, never go off-piste without being fully equipped. The club will help organise an off-piste guided tour.
The skipass allows us to visit all of the Hakuba Valley resorts. Our hotel Taigakukan is a 5 minute walk from the Happo lifts. After skiing we can relax in the onson (tradditional hot spa). On some evenings dinner will be included, on others we can explore the local restaurants.
For those of you who have never visited Japan before this will be an unforgettable experience. You will certainly return with fond memories of the Japanese hospitality towards tourists. This will be the club’s fourth visit following our very successful expeditions to Niseko on Hokkaido.
During the current coronavirus pandemic the club will have to react appropriately to changes in regulations and conditions. Cancellation procedures are being looked at if the destination is deemed to be in a risk area at the time of trip departure. Please try to support the club as much as you can so that we can offer you the best trips to the mountains.
We are doing our best to offer exciting and safe trips for our season 2024 / 25. Please try to support the club as much as you can so that we can offer you more trips to the mountains.
