It seems that even autumn is on retreat and, with temperatures falling and first snow coming down even in the lower areas of Rhein-Main, the most lovely part of the season for skiers and boarders is going to start finally. In Frankfurt, you could even see first snowmen appearing! Our next Wednesday Social at Waxy's is a perfect to rally with other like-minded fellows eager to start the winter season! Our next trip to Hintertux is less than a week away and we should be blessed with some new snowfall, with 40cm+ estimated!

It may still be possible to get a place on our Thanksgiving trip to HINTERTUX this weekend if you contact the TC Melinda quickly!

We can still offer you a great selection of trips for the remainder of 2022 – including the Swiss trips of DAVOS and ST MORITZ LAUDINELLA, In Austria you have the chance to visit Siegitours in ST VEIT and take advantage of the excellent lessons/ guiding on offer – pre-Christmas, New Year, early January, or custom dates. And if you prefer Italy, try the New Year trip to the DOLOMITES.

In January we start our bus trips. ST ANTON is WAITLISTED – we hope to get more places later. Following that we will remain in Austria in ST VEIT for another chance to explore the Ski Amadé area and get some lessons. This will be a U-drive – it’s best to take the direct train. The TC Jesse will co-ordinate reservations.

Then we can jump on the bus to be in resort in ENGELBERG in Switzerland – a classic weekend trip with a famous rotating gondola to the glacier and it is our nearest destination.


Next stop February in Austria – another bus trip to the world-famous resort of KITZBÜHEL. We have 3 days to explore this glorious area. We need your COMMITMENT to keep our room allocation – they are in high demand! This social is your LAST CHANCE to get the EARLY SIGN-UP price, we had to bring that forward.

Also in February you can explore the excellent resorts of LAAX/FLIMS and JUNGFRAU in Switzerland. And in March it’s back to Austria for ZELL AM SEE (we need early COMMITMENT here too – contact us if you are interested). All of these are bus trips.

For all those that missed out on this fun trip we still have three fantastic ski-destinations left this season, with new availability on two of our previously sold-out trips! We will be visiting the vast resort of Val Thorens between 25/26th Mar – 2nd Apr. If you are interested in joining this trip, please contact tc16.valthorens@fscev.org and we will try to secure accommodation for you.

Upon first sight, Zermatt is a resort that could have come straight out of a fairy-tale. Fortunately, a space on our sold-out U-Drive trip between 31st Mar – 3rd Apr has become available for a price of €365 B&B! Please contact Melinda on tc16.zermatt@fscev.org if you are interested in joining.

Drum roll please!!! We have some very exciting news regarding the Ischgl closing concert trip (29th Apr – 1st May). The BUS will leave from FRANKFURT at 15:00 TBC. But we need YOUR COMMITMENT by this WEDNESDAY 23RD MARCH to make this work. Headlining this concert is the epic Grammy award winning US rock band KINGS OF LEON, who will perform on the stage at 1pm on the Saturday – incredibly this concert is included in the price of the ski-pass! If you have not yet experienced a concert on the slopes of this wonderous ski area you are missing out on the ultimate bucket-list item! You might also want to hurry in signing-up because there are sure to be many repeat attendees who know just how epic this trip will be! The trip is priced at €295 for 2 nights B&B in Galtür including the bus (€315 for signups after 23rd March), while the single supplement is €40 and there is a U-drive discount of €60.

Please note, for all bus trips the 2G+ rules apply, therefore you need to be fully vaccinated or immune and have a negative antigen or PCR test within 24 hours of departure.

Finally, for all of you culture vultures looking for some good quality entertainment, make sure to try the Frankfurt English Speaking Theatre's (FEST) production of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None at the Kuturhaus  - this comes highly recommended!

We were so excited to see many of you at our 2020/2021 Season Opening BBQ Party! Sorry to thouse who could not join due to number restrictions etc.

During the current coronavirus pandemic the club will have to react appropriately to changes in regulations and conditions.  Any member who signs up trips will be entitled to free cancellation if the destination is deemed to be in a risk area at the time of trip departure (unless you are otherwise informed).

We hope that our Wednesday Socials will commence forthwith. Covid-19 restrictions in place for each event at that time will be applied and details will be announced nearer to the time. We are constantly researching whether it is practical to host winter socials this season and we will keep you posted on this point.
