The resort
Ski in the shadow of the Matterhorn – welcome to Zermatt. This legendary Swiss resort is one of the most iconic ski destinations in the world, and April is still prime time thanks to its high-altitude slopes up to 3,883 m.With over 360 km of pistes, Zermatt offers everything from gentle beginner runs to long cruising reds and serious challenges on steep blacks. One highlight is the chance to ski from Switzerland into Italy and back in a single day, adding an international flavor to your adventure. Advanced skiers will also appreciate the glacier runs on the Kleines Matterhorn, while the views of the Matterhorn itself make every descent unforgettable. Freeride terrain here is famous, but as always – best explored with a guide if you want powder stashes, not search parties.
Lodging & Comfort
We’ll stay at the charming Hotel Excelsior in Zermatt, offering Bed & Breakfast and a warm, family-run atmosphere. Centrally located in the village, the hotel gives easy access to the lifts and the lively après-ski scene Zermatt is known for. After skiing, enjoy local specialties in the village restaurants or relax with a drink on the terrace as the sun sets behind the Matterhorn. It’s the perfect mix of world-class skiing, Swiss charm, and late-season alpine magic.
We are doing our best to offer exciting and safe trips for our season 2024 / 25. Please try to support the club as much as you can so that we can offer you more trips to the mountains.
